Joni’s Story
I was born in Utah and moved around quite a bit when I was younger. We lived in Colorado, Wyoming, and finally Idaho where I lived the majority of my life. I loved growing up in Idaho because it wasn't too big and we were surrounded by mountains. It's a lovely place and home because that is where family is. I am the 3rd of 9 children. I had a younger sister pass away when I was 2 1/2. It has always been hard for me but I have gained a greater faith because of it. It was always pretty crazy at my house but lots of fun too! My family is one of my greatest treasures.
I met Chase when our family moved into the same neighborhood as his. Ever since I met him I had a crush on him and just knew someday I would marry him. Whenever a wish was to be made, I wished I would marry him and my dreams came true! He captured my heart from the beginning.
Obviously we knew each other for a long time before getting married. We actually didn't start dating until high school, and it has been a lovely adventure!
Before and after marriage, I attended college and received a bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. I worked in my field for a little while, but have decided its not for me. I hope to go back to school one day to get my Masters. I really want to be a mom when I grow up!
I enjoy soo many things! I love music! I took singing and piano lessons when I was younger and in high school. I was always involved in choir throughout my schooling years. I also took up the viola when I was younger and played for 4 years and then gave it up and I have regretted it since. I also love to have fun! I enjoy spending time with Chase the most of anything. I love playing games, spending time outdoors (hiking, bicycling, swimming, camping, boating~whatever you name it!), crafting (sewing, scrapbooking etc.), and I enjoy decorating our home. I love to spend time with family. I also enjoy watching movies, playing volleyball, reading, decorating cakes, and many other things I can't think of right now!
Right now I am spending my time as a homemaker and taking care of Chase. That is the best job ever!
Chase Talks About Joni
Joni's personality can easily be described with one word: cute! Joni is fun, bubbly (but not annoying), and outgoing. She has a laugh that irresistibly makes one smile and she laughs easily. She emanates beauty in her actions and through her personality. She is often the first to greet a new person at church, initiate a conversation with a new neighbor (and deliver cookies), and suggest helping someone in need. She exhibits true charity. She always concerns herself with others more than herself. Joni loves her husband more than anything else and enjoys spending time with him and family more than anything else. She is a hard worker and always completes tasks fully. This however could be one of her weaknesses as her desire to finish something can cause her to work constantly until it is done. Joni's only other weakness is that she screams wildly during suspenseful movies.
Chase’s Story
I was born and raised in Idaho and loved it. I have 3 brothers (one older and two younger) and 1 older sister. Growing up we had a lot of fun playing in the field behind our house and trying to make little inventions. I think our best invention was a stink bomb that we build out of paper, crayons, and pencil shavings. I don't think that it ever worked, but it sure was fun to make.
Through high school, I realized a couple of things. First I realized that Joni was beautiful! I had grown up with her (since ~12 years old) but in high school it hit me! We casually dated and shared many friends. The second thing that I realized was that I loved to figure out how things worked. This led me to want to be an engineer.
After high school and a year of college, I served a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Spain. This ended up being a life changing event that has helped govern my life since. During this time, I kept in contact with Joni.
After returning home I promptly continued my college studies. Joni returned from volunteer service in Ecuador 5 months after I got back from Spain. We immediately began dating and soon after were engaged.
Since then, our relationship has only strengthened. We both finished our Bachelor degrees and now we are in Indiana where I am pursuing a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering. Joni is my greatest support and I love her for it.

Joni Talks About Chase
From the moment I first met Chase at the tender age of 12 years old I was pretty much in love.My dream from then on was that I would someday marry my prince charming. Chase is not your typical kind of guy. He is so much better! He is very respectful and polite. He always opens my door for me even now after we have been married for 4 years. He is kind and gentle and so funny. Everyone likes to be around him because he is so quick witted and makes everyone laugh. That is one of my most favorite things about him~that he makes me laugh. He treats me like a princess and is the best husband a wife could ask for!
Chase is very intelligent. He always thinks things through very thoroughly and chooses the most efficient and effective way. He likes to know how things work. He is very diligent in achieving his goals. He desires to do the most for his family. He has always wanted to be a dad and is very good with children. His nieces and nephews just love him and clamor about him for attention. He enjoys spending time with his family and has a great relationship with all of them. He is definitely the peacemaker in our home and tries to resolve any or all issues right away.
He is musical as well. He plays the guitar and the piano and has a good voice. I love to hear him sing. He doesn't do it often enough. He enjoys the outdoors and loves to go on bikerides, hiking and camping. He also loves to wake board and go boating with his dad and brothers. Another favorite of his is downhill snow skiing. I am not much of a partner because I can't do it very well but he loves to get in a good ski run every now and then (although it has been awhile since the last time he has skied =( ). One of his favorite sports is racquetball and is a good exercise for him.
Although he enjoys all the things above the thing he most enjoys is spending time with his wife and I love him for it!
